When running an "integration" (an OP,INTI calculation), Gosia gives an output "INTEGRATED RUTHERFORD CROSS SECTION," which is more accurately called the "particle singles." This is the total number of particles hitting the detector. This includes both the elastic and inelastic events. For the scattering kinematics, Gosia assumes that the Q-value is the energy of the first excited state—state #2 in LEVE. This can be changed using the CONT option NCM, if, for example, the probability of the first excited state is << 1, for example. In that case, the ground state might be a better choice. ===Calculating the excitation probabilities=== Putting
OP,STAR OP,EXIT
in place of OP,YIEL, quickly generates the Coulomb excitation probabilities of all states in the system.
