Installation and RACHEL test

I am a beginner to Linux and am having a problem getting the Coulex School Software to work. Perhaps someone can see the problem in my method.

I have python 2.6, python-gtk2-dev, python-matplotlib and gnuplot installed.

I downloaded the package.

Moved it to my install folder.

Ran the compile-all.sh in the main folder and setup.sh in the rachel folder.

Opened a terminal and entered /install/CoulexSchool-Software/examples/rachel_example_files$

Tried:
[python*] /home/jmichett/install/CoulexSchool-Software/rachel.rachel-py26.py
-->
[python*]: command not found

Tried:
/home/jmichett/install/CoulexSchool-Software/rachel.rachel-py26.py
-->
bash: /home/jmichett/install/CoulexSchool-Software/rachel.rachel-py26.py: No such file or directory

any ideas?

Hi,

Glad you got it working. Be sure to try the quick tests in the PDF attached to the summer school email.

If you found any installation steps necessary that aren't yet on the Wiki, or if you installed on an operating system that isn't in the installation pages yet, please feel free to share on the Wiki:

Thanks,
